Thank you so much Ariana. I have felt so completely frozen since the new year - your words here have really been for me the axe for the frozen sea that Kafka talks about. Thank you so much for sharing.

Re: Memory. This past Sunday I was introduced to the playwright Sarah Kane, I came across a quote of her saying “theater has no memory.” Immediately following that, I read the intro to The Glass Menagerie where Williams describes it as a memory play. In my 20s reading Gurdjieff’s lesson about remembering who you are. When I was going through severe panic attacks I would recite my childhood home address and phone number to assure myself I had not lost my mind. I picked up your book Telephone last night as I am trying to figure out how to write a play, and this transmission was found at just the right time. Thank you.

I'm astonished that a playwright like Sarah Kane would say that.... I feel like theatre is ALL memory. Her work is so overwhelming, gorgeous, and cruel. I wish that she had lived.....
